Sienna Systems Corporation (“Sienna”) is looking for a Unix Systems Administrator to join our NAVFAC team at Port Hueneme Naval Base, CA. Our team maintains an array of Enterprise Business Systems to support all NAVFAC sites and other business partners. We provide technological support for day-to-day operations, sustainment, and maintenance of the hosted infrastructure in a secure environment.

Job Description:

As part of a team of approximately 15, you will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of Navy systems. This includes:

• Administer and maintain Navy Linux/Unix systems (including Red Hat and Solaris)
• Troubleshoot and resolve Linux/Unix technical issues
• Work with the Project Manager and other IT staff
• Stay up-to-date on the latest Linux features & functionality
• Develop & implement procedures for maintaining Linux
• Track & report on Linux usage

Job Requirements:

• 1+ years’ Linux/Unix experience in a technical support or System Administrator role (either remote or in person)
• Be available for on-site (approx. 1 day per week on-site)
• Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) or Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), preferred
• Experience with EMC Networker Backup and Recovery, SAN/NAS Storage Administration, or DBA experience, a plus
• Shell scripting and Linux (and application) troubleshooting experience
• CompTIA Security+ certification
• Must be US Citizen and be able to obtain/maintain a Top-Secret level clearance

Salary: up to $110,000/year

Job location: Port Hueneme Naval Base, CA (hybrid role, approx 1 day per week on site)
